Synopsis:

Foreign correspondent Ma Xiao and his partner Pan Wenjia, a volunteer doctor, accompany engineer Miao Feng to the suburbs to repair a base station. When the local situation suddenly deteriorates, all three are kidnapped by an extremist organisation. While imprisoned, they meet Zhou Weijie, an overseas Chinese businessman.
